Melbourne city officials ordered a clean up a well-known graffiti area. Unfortunately, the cleanup crew painted over 2003 Banksy pieces. So why are they so "red-faced"?

"in Britain, Banksy's work has been defaced by vandals and ordered painted over by some local councils who do not want to encourage graffiti artists. However, his works have sold for more than $1 million at auction."

The real Santa; Tookie Williams

Kay, i love the santa in the pic. The poster in the window said "Free Tookie". Tookie Williams helped start the crips gang in the late 60's, and died of lethal injection in San Quentin Prison (CA) in 2005. At that time, there was a large vocal outcry, both within and from outside of the African American community to "Save Tookie Williams". Though he was reported to still be an active leader in the Crips gang by prison officials, publicly he was praised for his anti-gang activism. He received a "Call to Service Award" by President George W. Bush.
